We test the mystic on an AK to see how the core will handle the pressure. Do not do this to your can, it will void the warranty!!! This is a testiment to how durable our Mystic is to pressure. No other 9mm silencer on the market is this durable...none of them...

Special Note: Those wondering about the crutches. I was injured in a house fire while conducting interior operations the night before we filmed. (http://www.tampabay.com/news/publicsafety/fire/three-pasco-county-firefighters-injured-in-fighting-house-fire-that-took/2193349) Liberty Suppressors had drove down to film this review and I didn't want to let them down (because they F'ing rock and are the nicest people you'll ever meet) so I left the hospital, changed clothes, grabbed my gear and met them to film. I was a little out of it that morning so I let Dan of GunshineStateArmory finish the review. I am now healed and back to full duty. I just figured I mention it here so when people ask I can just tell them to read the description so I don't have to repeat myself. Yes you! LOL. Thanks for watching!

Shooting and discussing the Russian VEPR 12 shotgun. And yes, sorry, but every time I say "SBR" in the video, what I should say and what I mean to say is " SBS," for short barrel shotgun. Please direct people to the description when they point this out, which will likely be pretty often. Good thing I'm so handsome, because I sure "ain't" too smart! :-) ------------------- ------------------------ Please visit the Hickok45.com website and check out what the great folks who support us have to offer: BUD’s GUN SHOP, THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION, FEDERAL PREMIUM, and SONORAN DESERT INSTITUTE: http://www.hickok45.com/supporters/ Please consider becoming a Gong Club member at our Patreon Page: https://www.patreon.com/hickok45 JOIN THE NRA at the Hickok45 page and get a nice discount: https://membership.nra.org/Hickok45/Join Hickok45 Store: https://www.bunkerbranding.com/pages/hickok45 Federal Premium: http://www.federalpremium.com/ https://www.facebook.com/federalpremiumammo SDI (Sonoran Desert Institute): http://www.sdi.edu/ UPCOMING “MEET & GREETS” Will Advise when any are scheduled. "A fool's paradise is a wise man's hell." As with the comments from dumbshits on the 1-14 vs 3/4-NPT discussion; I will not allow my channel to be polluted with weapons-grade stupidity. Any decent engineer knows the many reasons why you DO NOT measure ID with calipers. Not to mention, they won't reach past the threads... My videos may be hilarious shitposts, but that doesn't mean I have no idea what I'm doing. This was meant to be a gag, but it seems to attract wannabes and people who don't get the joke, and I get tired of moderating the retards who think they have it all figured out... I feel a bit like Sean Spicer, but with far less patience. Gun Snowflakes are everywhere... Those helplessly trapped in the center of the bell curve purport to represent "wisdom of the crowd," while forgetting that engineering and physics are not democratic. I won't allow a mob of Internet morons to lead astray those trying to learn, or just have a laugh. Those who know, get the joke... Those at the edge of the bell curve are fewer in number, and will not be made to answer to those trapped in the center on my channel. Recycle your cleaning solvents and lubricating fluids. Be green! Be prepared! - http://GunThreadAdapters.com - ALL NFA RULES/LAWS APPLY. This is probably better referred to as a Solvent Recycling Adapter, as it doesn't really trap anything... An examination of the (Wix)Napa (2)4003 Fuel Filter. Truth is stranger than fiction... There is a new part number for this filter. Seems to be more widespread and cheaper, noted here: https://www.gunthreadadapters.com/are-you-kidding-me/ The Nylon and Brass pipe fittings are a small sampling of existing thread adapters that could be slightly modified to make your own Solvent Trap Adapter for this filter. Industrial supply houses have a much wider selection of sizes and materials, but these I got at local stores. Oh, turns out it sucks to use the brass fitting I showed. Don't waste your money. My 'meat' speculation was accurate. Not even close to sufficient.

Higher temperatures where in the middle & very end of the can. Neither of the High Temp covers from @burnproofgear or @silencerco came loose or moved. BurnProof uses bungee cord & SilencerCo uses Velcro to secure their wraps. These did not burn. (Using a Mirage only SilencerCo Cover will burn & melt it by the second mag). BurnProof Securest mounting Cools off faster Harder to install & remove Hard to make adjustments while installed SilencerCo Secure mounting Cools slower (metal buckles get very hot) Easy to install & remove Easier to make adjustments while installed Both covers have an inner sleeve which is why they're rated "High Temp." The BurnProof sleeve was harder to install because it doesn't fully surround the can. It's thin material does lead to fast cooling times. The SilencerCo inner sleeve is thicker & easily slides on like a sock. The outside is coated in a grippy material which helps keep the actual cover from moving. This material keeps the cover hotter longer. Dead Air Armament did what many in the AK community said couldn't be done. They released an AK silencer that works with every popular caliber on most every AK47 or AK74 type rifle sold. The Wolverine PBS1 is a very close copy, but far better, of the Russian PBS1 suppressor. We take a look at this new offering from Dead Air Armament.
